Thanks for visiting! Here’s a little bit about me…

I am...

  • a mom, wife, rescue dog lover, and tornado survivor

  • an explorer at heart with a love for rural and coastal communities, islands in the North Atlantic, Arctic, and Antarctica

  • often seeking out sheep farms to visit in faraway places

  • pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership & Organization Development at the University of Southern Maine

  • researching:

    • the resilience of coastal communities in Maine & Greenland

    • the experiences of sheep farmers in Maine and the North Atlantic

    • the experiences of women entrepreneurs in rural communities and the blue economy

    • self-leadership

    • the interconnectedness of human, social, ecological, and economic capital in rural community development

    • happiness and wellbeing

I love...

  • sharing my research and advocating for the sustainability of rural and coastal communities

  • Supporting rural women entrepreneurs

  • traveling the world mindfully, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures along the way

  • supporting women and girls in developing their self-leadership skills and becoming leaders in their communities and beyond

  • leading workshops informed by my research and my professional experiences in corporate financial management, as an entrepreneur, and working in nonprofit organizations.

  • to always say YES to adventure!
